The Courage to Surrender
“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.”

Fresh Apple Cake Recipe
This apple cake is a delicious treat that brings the natural sweetness and juiciness of apples into every bite. Apples are rich in fiber, particularly pectin, which supports digestion and heart health. The mildly spicy flavors from cinnamon or nutmeg complement the fruit’s sweetness, adding warmth and depth. Honeycrisp apples provide a balance of sweetness and tartness, but you can adjust the flavor by using different apple varieties. The buttermilk glaze adds a touch of creaminess and sweetness, enhancing the cake’s moist texture, making it a perfect pairing with a warm beverage. continue reading
Living within The Mystery
“Life is filled with mystery, courage, heroism, and love –

Greetings to all my precious people!
We are navigating interesting times. Catastrophic natural events combined with cataclysmic happenings around the world are wreaking havoc, dissonance, and despair. Yet, in the midst of mayhem, sparks of courage, heroism, and love are demonstrated as we witness people helping one another during an unrelenting humanitarian crisis. There are so many levels of hurt, combined with so many more levels of help, so let us not be blind to those who are doing the daily work of being available and showing up without fanfare. I am reminded of the comment Mr. Fred Rogers shared: “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” Take heed, have faith. Look for the helpers—and demonstrate the best of humanity by being a helper, too! continue reading

Are you making space for POSSIBILITY?

in grand and glorious abundance,
a shelter of kindness that grows all the truest things.”
~~ Julia Fehrenbacher
Greetings to all my precious people!!
Eclipse season has arrived and there is a sense of chaotic anticipation sprinkled with a bit of consternation and worry. Have you noticed anything out of sync in your world this week? The Harvest Moon on Tuesday contributed both light and shadow to the night, and the dance of yin and yang was evident in the sky. But it was also a reflection of what was occurring inside each of us, since we are part of the tapestry of Nature. What part of you might have been eclipsed? What feeling, relationship or habit might have come out of the shadows lately? Are there aspects of your Self that sparked some glimmers of imagination and possibility? continue reading
