Dr. Kathy Casey, Clinic Director

DACM, L.Ac., Dipl. OM, C.Ht.

Dr. Kathy Casey is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a licensed acupuncturist in New York and Connecticut, a board-certified herbalist, and maintains a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (NCCAOM).  Dr. Casey graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine/NYC, an esteemed academic leader providing comprehensive instruction in both Chinese and Western Medicine, where she earned her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine after completing 4 years and 4,050 hours of combined classroom study and supervised clinical rotations while treating over 300 patients.  Dr. Casey achieved her doctoral status through Pacific College of Oriental Medicine/San Diego (now known as Pacific College of Health and Science) with a focus on utilizing food therapy, mindfulness, herbal medicine, journaling, and hypnotherapy to promote and support female health, especially cardiovascular and autoimmune disorders.

Dr. Casey is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, accredited since 1992, and a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists.  She has extensive training and experience in Therapeutic Touch, an energetic healing modality developed in the 1970’s through the pioneering work of Dolores Krieger, PhD, RN, a professor of Nursing at New York University, in collaboration with Dora Kunz, a natural healer.  A trained Acudetox Specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), Dr. Casey also uses acupuncture to support behavioral health, including chemical dependencies, addictive behaviors, mental health, as well as treat disaster and emotional trauma.

While Dr. Casey currently maintains a general practice and treats a wide variety of syndromes, she has a special interest in women’s health, digestive disorders, stress management, and mental and emotional health. Her passion for the ancient healing arts sustains her patient-centered clinical practice focused on recovering health and maintaining wellness with preventative care.

Kerry Burstein – Office Manager & Patient Care Coordinator

 

Kerry is the rockstar coordinator of all things administrative and keeps the clinic running efficiently and smoothly.  She embraces her role as the Office Manager and Patient Care Coordinator with a gracious sense of hospitality and enthusiasm that welcomes all who enter our healing space.

Kerry received her degree in Business Administration from Rockland Community College in 2017, and has been using her skills to organize data, leverage social media opportunities and raise the bar for providing outstanding marketing support for our growing practice.

A proud Leo born on August 10 on Cape Cod, Kerry returns to the Cape as often as possible, enjoying the peace and serenity of the beaches and the ocean.  Currently living in Queens with her parents, her cat Beau and her dog Jake, Kerry looks forward to shortening her commute with a move to Westchester County!!
