In TCM, dark leafy greens like bok choy, Chinese broccoli (gai lan), and mustard greens are slightly bitter and sweet, clearing heat and moistening dryness. Goji berries tonify Liver and Kidney Yin, while sesame nourishes Blood and enhances skin and hair health.
Nutritionally, this dish offers vitamin K, C, folate, iron, and antioxidants. The goji-sesame dressing delivers essential fatty acids and anti-inflammatory compounds.
Ingredients (Serves 2–3):
- 2 cups mixed Asian greens (bok choy, gai lan, choy sum)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon tamari
- 1 tablespoon goji berries, soaked
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Steam greens until bright and tender.
- Mix dressing ingredients: sesame oil, vinegar, tamari, soaked goji berries.
- Toss dressing over warm greens.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, serve immediately.
