Pear & Fritillaria (Chuan Bei Mu) Stew Recipe

A classic TCM winter remedy for dry, irritated Lungs — this gentle, nourishing dessert or tea soothes cough, moistens dryness, and calms the Shen.

In TCM, Asian pears moisten the Lungs and cool dryness. Fritillaria (Chuan Bei Mu), a traditional herb, clears Lung Heat and transforms phlegm. Rock sugar harmonizes and enhances the moistening effect.

Nutritionally, pears are rich in fiber and vitamin C, supporting hydration and respiratory health. Fritillaria (available in Chinese herb shops) is an established herbal remedy for dry, irritating coughs.
