What do you recognize as Sacred?

“How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?”

~~ Leonard Cohen

Greetings to all my precious people!!

We are now in the month November, with the New Moon phase in Scorpio reminding us to be serious and forthright about every aspect of our Self. If you are feeling a bit unbalanced or unsteady as we march towards the end of this year, recognize this as a recalibration of sorts, and remember to breathe deeply and hold your center. This is part of the sacred pattern in the Universe; transformation is occurring on multiple levels.

November 1st is a notable day of life, death, and remembrance in many cultures. Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is celebrated primarily in Mexico and other Latin American countries on November 1st and 2nd. It’s a vibrant holiday that honors the lives of deceased loved ones, inviting their spirits back to the world of the living for a night of remembrance, joy, and connection.

All Saints’ Day is celebrated on November 1st by many Christian denominations, especially in Roman Catholicism, honoring all saints, known and unknown. In some cultures, families visit gravesites to leave flowers, light candles, and pray for the deceased, connecting this observance to both remembrance and reverence for the afterlife.

Originating in ancient Celtic culture, Samhain marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. Celebrated from October 31st to November 1st, it is believed that the veil between the worlds of the living and dead is thinnest, allowing spirits to visit. Modern celebrations include bonfires, costumes, and honoring ancestors.

Life and death—the ancient, endless, sacred cycle of life on our planet. Consider this as your sudden—or not so sudden—wake up call to be present for your own life journey.

While we are still in the season of Autumn, take care to harvest the sacred seeds you have nurtured, and weed out all that no longer serves your highest purpose. Intentionally clear out your space: the closets, the pantry, the attic and basement, the garage. Allow all the noise in your head and the worry in your heart to find an outlet, be it in a journal, in movement and exercise, in community gatherings. Be focused on creating more space in all aspects of your life, so that you will have a gentle place to incubate ideas and dreams during the Winter. Cultivate a sacred connection to Self and support it by building a sanctuary in your home, with a quiet space that reminds you to be Present. By the time the Winter solstice arrives, it will be a time of cold and contraction, which makes letting go and releasing even more challenging. Choose to clear and allow for incubation, instead of holding on, which allows things to fester and create obstruction. Prepare your space and your body-mind for free and easy flow.

REMEMBER:

  • You always have choices.
  • You do not need anyone’s permission to change your mind and shift direction.
  • You do not have to keep following an old dream or goal that has run out of juice.
  • You can trust your instincts and make a big or small leap.
  • You can focus on what is working, instead of what is not working.
  • You can recognize and focus on what you are finding, not what you are losing.

Astrologically, we have come through a chaotic cycle from 2008-2024, while Pluto was in Capricorn. Being able to create your own personal map of changes, turning points, deaths, losses and inspiration is a wonderful practice to revisit your journey. Begin this undertaking now with a new journal, and a spirit of compassion and curiosity.

Document your losses during the years of 2008-2024 and allow yourself to honor and grieve all the changes and traumas along the way. Acknowledge and appreciate your patterns of decisions and choice points. Self-inquiry and discovery are necessary for us to recognize the opportunities as well as challenges we have encountered. When you create your personal road map, it is vitally important to prepare for the transformational process that is sure to follow. You are making a choice to cleanse yourself of your past—be aware of the small and big deaths / losses / disappointments that make your life your own and then release them to embrace the future that awaits.

As you remember, recall, write, and document the past 25 years of your life:

  • What is chronic, repetitive, or inflamed in your life?
  • Can you identify the aggravations you’ve been tolerating?
  • Are you able to recognize that the only constant in life is change?
  • Will you question the need for all the possessions you keep within your four walls?
  • Are you ready to manage your material world and stop underestimating your skills?
  • Can you strip down to what’s inessential in order to discover what’s lasting and true?
  • Did you find what is unshakable and confident within you?

Look to see if there is a pattern forming and consider how you have handled loss in the past and whether you can adopt a fresh approach now. Alternatively, you may choose to write about some of the low times and remind yourself how you survived, how you grew. Notice how much more resourceful and resilient you have become. You have discovered the powerful inner resources that will last the rest of your life! You are living authentically, fearlessly. You have reclaimed your innate creative power.

Let us work together to help you source your seeds of transformation. Autumn is a perfect time to harvest what you need and release that which no longer serves you. It is very important to actively and intentionally clear your space, in your home as well as in your heart and mind, so that your incubation period of Winter can allow the manifestation of your deep resilience and dreams for the New Year 2025.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine are some of the tools I use to support the health and wellness of my patients, but the healing that occurs is always prompted from the inside. The answers to health and wellness reside in your heart. Treatment in my healing sanctuary goes beyond the needles—they simply serve to prompt the body to do its own mysterious and miraculous work.

I help people learn how to listen to their body’s wisdom and reconnect the unconscious mind to nurture the mind-body connection. This work allows people to realize their full capacity and choose to live a life aligned with their values, nourished by their dreams and desires. Together, we co-create opportunities for healing as the process unfolds.

I offer compassionate, attentive care. I see you. I hear you. I celebrate your journey. As an experienced clinician, I support patients as they come home to themselves, reconnecting the mind, body and spirit. This is my greatest passion: to serve as a facilitator, navigator and coach as you transcend old patterns and come into alignment with your best self. Are you ready to choose your Self and celebrate your gifts? Are you ready to manifest your Authentic Self that is abundant with health and vitality? Commit to being present and living your life with intention.
