The Quiet of Restoration

Go back and take care of yourself.

Your body needs you,

your feelings need you,

your perceptions need you.

Your suffering needs you to acknowledge it.

Go home and be there for all these things.

~~Thich Nhat Hanh

Greetings to all my precious people!!

We are entering a powerful Spring—one cracked wide open by astrological shifts and seasonal awakenings, aligning with the ancient rhythms of Earth as she transforms. This is not just a metaphorical rebirth; it’s a cellular one. A spiritual one. The Earth herself is in motion—and so are we.

As humans, we are not separate from this environment; we are sensitive instruments, always tuning in and receiving. The health of our body, mind, and spirit is not immune to the energetic tides around us—rather, it reflects them. And in seasons like this, with so much shifting externally, what is within us is also called to shift, to surrender, to evolve.

This is a time of redirection. A call to be flexible, to meet what is emerging with curiosity instead of resistance. The old ways are burning down—and yes, that may feel like a cataclysm—but it is also a sacred clearing. What no longer serves us must be released: outdated systems, fractured relationships, tired patterns of thought. In their place, space is made. And in that space? New life waits to grow.

The week of April 13–20 is what I like to call a Sacred Week—not tied to any one religion, but sacred nonetheless. It is a threshold. A time for reflection, forgiveness, self-evaluation, and a recommitment to your truest self. But this is not meant to be a time of striving. It is not another item on your productivity list.

This week calls for a different kind of energy:

  • Open, easy schedules.
  • Fluid timing.
  • The gentle discipline needed to become the observer.

Let it be a week of quiet restoration and repose—not inaction, but intentional presence. Not silence as avoidance, but space as medicine.

Practical Invitations for the Week of April 13–20

These aren’t “to-dos.” Think of them as ways of being—invitations to slow, soften, and return to your inner sanctuary.

  • Morning Pause: Before picking up your phone, place a hand on your heart. Breathe. Say, “I’m here.” That’s enough.
  • Do one thing slowly. Drink tea. Fold laundry. Walk outside. Let it be an anchor to the moment.
  • Let go of perfection. No need to “get it right.” This is not a test—it’s a remembering.
  • Journal without structure. Ask: What am I releasing? What is trying to be born?
  • Forgive yourself for the mess. Healing is not linear. Your spirals are sacred.
  • Be in nature if you can. Even five minutes under the sky changes things.
  • Unplug on purpose. Light a candle. Breathe. Be.

🌿 A Sacred Week Practice: Embodied Presence

Here are simple, somatic rituals and soulful reflections to practice during the week between Passover and Easter—a week of walking through liberation, death, grief, and rebirth.

🌀 The Pause Before the Story

When you feel activated—pause.
Don’t name it. Don’t fix it.
Just notice: Where is it in the body? What shape does it have? What color, what texture?

Let the body lead. The story can wait.

🔥 Tend a Flame (Literally)

Light a candle daily this week. Choose one intention per day:

  • Liberation
  • Compassion
  • Humility
  • Forgiveness
  • Grief
  • Surrender
  • Rebirth

Let the candle be your reminder to return to the present. Settle into your body as you reflect and focus. What feels constricted? Can you sense an opening, a letting go?

🌕 Qigong or Gentle Daoist Movement

Practice for a simple 5 minutes. Arms raised in a flowing circle. Feet grounded. Breath moving with motion. Let your Liver Qi move gently—no force.

Just enough to say: I am here, in this moment, alive.

🧭 3-Treasure Check-in (Jing, Qi, Shen)

Each morning and/or evening, ask:

  • Jing (Essence): Am I protecting my foundational energy?
  • Qi (Vitality): What drains me? What enlivens me?
  • Shen (Spirit): What brings clarity to my heart today?

Let these responses guide your choices.

Remember:

You are not meant to be perfect.

You are meant to practice.

To return. Again and again.

To the whisper in the belly.

The breath in the chest.

The pause before the emotion becomes a story.

You are not being asked to strive.

You are being asked to remember.

That rebirth is layered. That renewal is daily.

That you are not there. You are here.

And here is the only sacred ground that matters.

A Final Whisper

So much of our healing—which is not linear and is always layered—requires space to simply be. And you, too, are allowed to take up space.

Let this sacred week be a cocoon, not a box. Let it be a place to listen inward, observe the movements of your soul, and trust that just like the Earth, you know how to renew yourself. Let this be your season of return. To body. To presence. To the now.

May all that is unforgiven in you

Be released.

May your fears yield

Their deepest tranquillities.

May all that is unlived in you

Blossom into a future

Graced with love.
