“When we try to pick out anything by itself,
we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.”
~~ John Muir
Greetings to all my precious people!!
We’ve reached the end of February. The Fire Horse year is eleven days old and already you can feel it—the acceleration, the intensity, the demand for truth.
This month, we’ve been preparing for this moment:
Week 1: INTUITION — You learned to trust your body’s knowing. Head, heart, gut—three centers of intelligence. Your body knows before your mind can prove it.
Week 2: OBSERVATION — You learned to see clearly. To discern YOUR truth from the conditioning you inherited. To recognize when you’re seeing through someone else’s eyes vs. your own.
Week 3: WOMEN’S BODIES AS TEACHERS — You reclaimed your cycles as wisdom. Menstruation as winter, ovulation as summer, the full spectrum of feminine energy. Wild Woman rising. The Crone claiming her power.
This week—the final week—we complete the arc:
LIVING FROM SOURCE.
Not just understanding it intellectually. Not just believing it philosophically. But LIVING it. Daily. In your body. In community. With hope and faith even when—especially when—the world is on fire.
Because here’s what you’ve been discovering all month: You are not separate from the intelligence that creates galaxies, spins planets, turns winter into spring, beats your heart without your conscious effort.
You ARE that intelligence. Expressing. Experiencing itself. Through you.
And when you live from this knowing—when you trust the Source that patterns everything from DNA spirals to hurricane formations—everything changes.
This is what we’re exploring this week. Not as theory. As PRACTICE.
What IS Source? (And What It’s Not)
Let’s be clear about what we mean by “Source” because this word can trigger all kinds of conditioning, religious baggage, or dismissal as “woo.”
Source is not:
- A bearded man in the sky judging you
- A doctrine you must believe or be damned
- Something “out there” separate from you
- Something you need a priest/guru/expert to access for you
- Abstract philosophy disconnected from your lived experience
Source IS:
- The intelligence that organizes pattern from quantum to cosmic scale
- The life force that flows through everything (Qi, Prana, Spirit, Great Mystery)
- The web of interconnection that Indigenous peoples call “All My Relations”
- The Tao that cannot be named but can be experienced
- The field that quantum physics shows we’re all swimming in
- The consciousness that mystics across all traditions directly encounter
The pattern-making intelligence that YOU are an expression of!!
You don’t have to call it “Source.” Call it:
Life Force
The Universe
God/Goddess/Divine
Nature
The Mystery
The Pattern
Great Spirit
Whatever word lets you feel the REALITY without getting trapped in the concept.
What matters is this: There is an intelligence larger than your individual thinking mind. And you are not separate from it. You ARE it, experiencing itself through the particular form called “you.”
The Pattern Within Patterns Within Patterns
Here’s what’s extraordinary about being alive right now, in this moment in history:
Science and spirit are converging on the same truth:
Everything is a pattern. And the patterns echo across every scale.
CONSIDER THIS:
The spiral:
- Your DNA coils in a spiral
- Nautilus shells grow in spiral (Fibonacci sequence)
- Hurricanes spiral
- Galaxies spiral
- Water going down the drain spirals
Same pattern. Different scales. All expressing SOURCE.
The cycle:
- Your breath cycles (inhale, pause, exhale, pause)
- Your heart cycles (systole, diastole)
- Your menstrual cycle (if you bleed) mirrors moon cycle mirrors seasonal cycle
- Day cycles into night cycles into day
- Seasons cycle (spring, summer, autumn, winter, spring again)
- Cells cycle (birth, growth, death, renewal)
- Civilizations cycle (rise, peak, decline, collapse, rebirth)
- Stars are born, live, die, and their matter becomes new stars
Same pattern. Everything cycles. Death feeds life. Composting creates fertility.
The fractal:
- Tree branches mirror root systems mirror river deltas mirror lung bronchi mirror lightning strikes
- Blood vessels mirror river systems
- Neurons firing mirror mycelial networks mirror internet connections
- Coastlines, when you zoom in, reveal the same pattern at every scale
Same pattern. Self-similarity. The whole contained in every part.
This is not coincidence. This is SOURCE expressing itself through pattern.
And here’s the part that changes everything:
You are not observing these patterns from outside.
YOU ARE THE PATTERN.
Your body IS spiral, cycle, fractal, wave, flow. Your consciousness IS the pattern recognizing itself.
When you honor your cycles (breath, menstrual, seasonal, life stages), you’re not just being “healthy.” You’re ALIGNING with Source. You’re living the pattern that creates and sustains everything.
This is what “living from Source” means.
Joanna Macy: Active Hope in the Great Turning
Joanna Macy—Buddhist scholar, systems theorist, and eco-philosopher—has spent her life teaching people how to live with hope and purpose when the world is collapsing.
She doesn’t offer false optimism. She offers something deeper: Active Hope.
Active Hope is not waiting for someone to save you. It’s not denying the crisis. It’s participating in the Great Turning—the shift from an industrial growth society to a life-sustaining civilization.
And she teaches that this Great Turning happens in three dimensions simultaneously:
- Holding Actions (slowing the damage)
2. Creating New Structures (building alternatives)
3. Shift in Consciousness (the deepest work—changing how we see ourselves in relation to all life)
The third dimension—shift in consciousness—is what this entire month has been about.
When you:
- Trust your intuition (Week 1)
- See clearly instead of through conditioning (Week 2)
- Honor your body as teacher, your cycles as wisdom (Week 3)
- Live from Source, recognizing yourself as pattern within the larger pattern (Week 4)
You are participating in the Great Turning. This is not self-help. This is world-healing work.
Because when women reclaim their embodied wisdom, trust their cycles, speak their truth, refuse to be tamed—the systems built on our compliance begin to crumble.
And that’s exactly what needs to happen.
Macy teaches that hope is not a guarantee of outcome. Hope is a commitment to participate in what wants to be born, regardless of whether we’ll live to see it fully manifest.
Active Hope says:
Yes, the world is burning
Yes, systems are collapsing
Yes, it’s terrifying
AND: I will tend what’s trying to emerge. I will trust the larger pattern. I will do my part even if I never see the harvest.
This is Wisdom Keeper work. This is living from Source.
The Celtic Web: Thin Places and All Relations
Celtic spirituality never drew hard lines between material and spiritual, human and nature, living and dead.
They understood reality as thin places—moments and locations where the veil between worlds becomes transparent. Where Source is palpable. Where you can feel the web of interconnection.
The thin places happen:
- At dawn and dusk (liminal times)
- At thresholds and crossroads (liminal spaces)
- In deep grief and ecstatic joy (liminal emotions)
- During birth and death (ultimate transitions)
- In wild nature (forests, coastlines, mountains)
- In your body during menstruation (when veil is thinnest, intuition sharpest)
When you’re in a thin place, you KNOW you’re not separate. You feel the web. You sense Source directly.
And the Celtic understanding is that ALL places can become thin when you’re present enough. When you stop seeing the world as dead matter to be used and start seeing it as alive, ensouled, interconnected.
Indigenous peoples around the world carry this same knowing: Mitakuye Oyasin (Lakota: All My Relations). We are related to everything—stones, trees, rivers, stars, animals, ancestors, future generations.
When you live from Source, you live IN this web of relations.
You don’t make decisions based only on “what’s good for me.” You ask: “What serves the web? What honors all my relations? What does the seventh generation need from me now?”
This is not sacrifice. This is COHERENCE.
Because when the web thrives, you thrive. When you tend the web, the web tends you.
You are not separate from Source. You are one thread in the web that IS Source.
The Daoist Way: Wu Wei and Flowing With the Tao
We visited Wu Wei in Week 2 (effortless action from clear seeing). Now we go deeper:
The Tao—the Way, the Source, the pattern that cannot be named—is constantly moving.
Like water. Like breath. Like seasons. The Tao flows.
And Wu Wei—living from Source—is the practice of flowing WITH it instead of fighting against it.
Lao Tzu teaches:
“The Tao does nothing, yet nothing is left undone.”
This sounds paradoxical until you understand: The Tao doesn’t force. It ALLOWS. And in that allowing, everything that needs to happen, happens.
Seeds don’t force themselves to become trees. They trust the pattern. They surrender to the intelligence that knows how to turn seed into sapling into oak.
Your job is not to figure out the entire path. Your job is to trust the next step the pattern is revealing.
This is what you’ve been practicing all month:
Week 1: Trusting intuition = listening for Source’s guidance through your body
Week 2: Observing clearly = seeing the pattern without projection
Week 3: Honoring cycles = aligning with Source’s rhythm
Week 4: Living from Source = flowing with the Tao instead of forcing against it
Wu Wei says: Stop trying to control outcomes. Stop strategizing from fear. Stop forcing your small will against the larger pattern.
Instead: Listen. Sense. Feel. Trust. Move when it’s time to move. Rest when it’s time to rest. Speak when truth wants to be spoken. Release when it’s time to let go.
This is not passivity. This is profound ATTUNEMENT.
And when you’re attuned to Source—when you’re flowing with the Tao—you have access to power and wisdom your individual thinking mind could never generate.
Because you’re not acting alone. You’re acting AS Source. Through Source. WITH Source.
Community as Medicine: We Don’t Do This Alone
Here’s what Western culture got catastrophically wrong:
It taught us we’re separate. Individuals. Alone. Competing. Isolated.
This is a lie. And it’s killing us.
Every wisdom tradition—Celtic, Indigenous, Buddhist, Daoist—teaches the opposite:
We are INTERCONNECTED. We are COMMUNAL. We are RELATIONAL.
Thich Nhat Hanh called it Interbeing: You cannot exist separately. You inter-are with everything. The air you breathe was exhaled by trees. The water you drink has cycled through clouds, rivers, oceans, other bodies. Your thoughts are shaped by language you didn’t invent, by culture you were born into.
You are not a separate self. You are a pattern of relationships.
And when you try to live from Source ALONE—when you make this a private, individual journey—you miss the whole point.
Living from Source requires COMMUNITY.
Not because you’re weak. Because community is how Source expresses itself relationally.
You need:
- Witnesses who see you, who reflect back your truth when you doubt it
- Elders who have walked this path before you, who can guide without controlling
- Peers who are on the journey with you, who understand the struggle
- Those you mentor who remind you why this work matters, who carry it forward
- Circles of women who gather to share wisdom, to laugh, to rage, to hold each other
- Community is not optional. Community IS the medicine.
When women gather in circle—when we share our cycles, our truths, our struggles, our knowing—we create a field stronger than any individual could generate.
We become mycelial. Like the underground fungal networks that connect trees, allowing them to share resources, warn each other of danger, support the sick and dying.
We are not lone trees. We are a forest. And the forest is ALIVE with Source.
This Week’s Practice: Source-Connected Living (Daily + Community)
This final practice has two parts: DAILY personal practice and MONTHLY community practice.
Both are essential. You cannot live from Source in isolation.
PART 1: Daily Source Connection (10-15 minutes)
Morning Attunement:
Breath as Source (3 minutes)
Sit. Close eyes. Notice breath.
With each inhale: “I receive Source”
With each exhale: “I trust Source”
Feel yourself as pattern within pattern. Breath cycling. Heart beating.
You are SOURCE expressing as you.
Body as Pattern (3 minutes)
Place hands on heart. Feel the spiral of DNA in every cell. Feel the cycle of blood. Feel the fractal of nerves branching. You are not separate from the pattern. You ARE the pattern.
Ask Source (3 minutes)
“What wants to move through me today? What is mine to do? What is the next step the pattern is revealing?”
Don’t force an answer. LISTEN. Trust what emerges from silence—a word, a feeling, an image, a knowing.
Set Intention (2 minutes)
Not a goal. Not “I will accomplish X.” But:
“Today I will flow with Source. I will trust the pattern. I will act from my deepest knowing, not from fear or conditioning. I will remember I am not separate.”
Evening Review:
Notice the Pattern (5 minutes)
Where did you flow WITH Source today? Where did you force against it?
Where did synchronicities appear? Where did you feel the web supporting you?
Where did you feel disconnected? What pulled you out of trust?
Gratitude for the Web (3 minutes)
Name three ways the web held you today:
Someone who showed up at the right time. A moment of beauty that nourished you. Your body that kept breathing, kept beating, kept cycling without your conscious effort.
Release to Source (2 minutes)
Anything you’re carrying that’s not yours to carry—give it to Source. Trust the larger pattern to hold what you cannot.
Do this daily. Morning attunement. Evening review. 10-15 minutes total.
This is how you LIVE from Source instead of just believing in it.
PART 2: Monthly Community Practice (Build Your Circle)
You cannot do this work alone. You need community.
Here’s how to create or join one:
Option 1: Join an Existing Circle
- Women’s wisdom circles
- New moon/full moon gatherings
- Mindfulness sanghas
- Ecological/activist groups (Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects)
- Church/temple/spiritual communities that honor embodied wisdom
Option 2: Create Your Own Circle (Start Small)
Gather 3-8 women. More than 8 gets unwieldy. Fewer than 3 lacks container.
- Meet monthly. New moon or full moon is ideal (honoring cycles).
- Create sacred space:
- Light a candle (Brigid’s flame, Source’s presence)
- Sit in circle (no hierarchy)
- Open with silence or simple ritual
Set intention: “We gather to witness each other, to share wisdom, to remember we are not alone, to live from Source together”
Structure (2-3 hours):
- Check-in (each woman shares briefly: where are you right now?)
- Teaching/Practice (rotate who brings content—could be a passage from Bolen, Estés, Macy, a practice, a poem)
- Sharing (what’s alive for you? What’s emerging? What do you need witnessed?)
- Collective Wisdom (what patterns are we noticing? What is Source showing us through our individual experiences?)
- Closing (gratitude, commitment to next gathering)
Guidelines:
- Confidentiality (what’s shared in circle stays in circle)
- No fixing/advice unless requested
- Witness without judgment
- Honor silence as much as speech
- Trust the process (what needs to emerge will emerge)
- Start with 3 months. Commit to that. Then decide if you continue.
This is how Wisdom Keepers emerge. Not alone. In circle. In community. In the web.
Hope and Faith When the World Is Burning
Let’s not pretend.
The world IS burning. Literally (wildfires, climate chaos) and metaphorically (systems collapsing, polarization, violence, cruelty).
It’s tempting to despair. To freeze. To numb out. To think your small actions don’t matter in the face of such massive devastation.
But here’s what living from Source teaches:
- The pattern continues.
Winter always becomes spring. Not because we force it. Because that’s the PATTERN. Source keeps cycling. Death feeds life. Composting creates fertility.
Even if this civilization collapses (and parts of it will, parts of it SHOULD), Source continues. The web continues. Life continues finding a way.
Your job is not to save the world. Your job is to tend what’s trying to be born.
- Small acts in alignment with Source have ripple effects you cannot measure.
You don’t know what your presence, your truth, your embodied wisdom might spark in someone else. You don’t know how your children or students or clients will carry this forward. You don’t know what the seventh generation will need that you’re planting now.
Trust the pattern. Do your part. Release attachment to seeing the outcome.
- You are not alone. The web is holding you.
When you feel isolated, terrified, overwhelmed—reach for community. Call your circle. Reach out to someone who sees you. Let yourself be held by the web.
We survive because we belong to each other. Not to the systems that are collapsing. To each other. To the web. To Source.
- Faith is a practice, not a feeling.
You will not always FEEL hopeful. You will not always FEEL connected to Source. You will have days of doubt, despair, disconnection.
Faith is choosing to act AS IF Source is trustworthy even when you can’t feel it.
It’s choosing to:
- Breathe when you want to hold your breath
- Trust your body when your mind is panicking
- Show up for your circle when you want to isolate
- Tend the garden when you can’t see if anything will grow
- Speak truth when it’s easier to stay silent
- Act from love when fear is screaming
This is not naïve. This is COURAGE.
This is Wisdom Keeper work. This is living from Source in the Fire Horse year when everything is intense and demanding and burning.
And you are ready.
You Are Ready: Stepping Into Wisdom Keeper Presence
Four weeks. Four practices. One journey home to Source.
Week 1: You learned your body knows before your mind can prove it. You practiced listening to intuition.
Week 2: You learned to see clearly—to discern your truth from conditioning, to stop seeing through someone else’s eyes.
Week 3: You reclaimed your body as teacher. Your cycles as wisdom. Wild Woman rising. Crone claiming power.
Week 4: You learned to live FROM Source. To trust the pattern. To flow with the Tao. To build community. To practice hope and faith even when—especially when—the world is burning.
This is not beginner’s work. This is Wisdom Keeper territory.
And you ARE a Wisdom Keeper now. Not because you’ve achieved perfection. Not because you have all the answers. Not because you never doubt or struggle.
But because you’re PRACTICING:
- Trusting your body’s intelligence
- Seeing clearly
- Honoring your cycles
- Living from Source
- Building community
- Choosing faith over fear
- Doing your part even when you can’t see the outcome
This is what Wisdom Keepers do.
We tend the pattern. We witness each other. We speak truth. We hold hope. We trust the web. We do our part in the Great Turning.
We are dangerous. In the best possible way. Because we cannot be controlled by systems built on our compliance. Because we trust Source more than we trust empire. Because we know we’re not separate, so we cannot be divided and conquered.
The Fire Horse year will demand everything of you.
Authenticity. Truth. Embodiment. Courage. Presence. Community.
And you are ready.
Not because this month made you perfect. But because this month reminded you:
You are not separate from Source. You never were. You are the pattern recognizing itself. You are Source expressing as YOU.
And when you live from that knowing—when you trust your body, see clearly, honor your cycles, flow with the Tao, gather in community, practice faith—you become ungovernable. Unshakeable. Rooted in something larger than fear.
You become the Wisdom Keeper the world desperately needs.
Welcome to the circle. Welcome to the web. Welcome to Source.
You are not alone. You are held. You are loved.
And the pattern continues.
Spring is coming.
P.S. This is the work. This is what the C.O.A.C.H. Method is designed to support: learning to trust your body’s wisdom, to live from Source instead of from conditioning, to build the practices and community that sustain you through collapse and emergence.
If you want support in integrating this month’s teachings—if you want to deepen your Wisdom Keeper practice, to create your circle, to learn to live from Source not just as concept but as daily reality—I’m here.
I have space for 1:1 work. This is not therapy. This is not traditional coaching. This is midwifing your emergence as Wisdom Keeper. If this is your time, let’s have a conversation for curiosity and more. Email me!!
For now: Practice daily Source connection. Build or join your circle. Trust the pattern. Do your part. The world needs you. Not perfect. PRESENT. Embodied. Rooted in Source.
The Fire Horse is here. The Great Turning is happening. You are ready.
Spring is coming. 🌱
“We are not going in circles, we are going upwards.
The path is a spiral; we have already climbed many steps.”
~~ Hermann Hesse
