Living from Home: The Practice of Being Where We Are

“Consider what your life would look like

if you lived more loyal to your dreams …

and less influenced by your fears.”

— Tara Mohr, Playing Big

Greetings to all my precious people!!

For two months we’ve been exploring homesickness.

The ache. The exile. The longing for something you can barely name but KNOW is real.

And now, after eight weeks of WAKING UP, REMEMBERING, RETURNING, I have the final truth to share:

You’re already home. You always were.

The work is not GETTING there. The work is REMEMBERING you never left.

Playing Small = Living in Exile

Tara Mohr teaches that women play small because:

  • Self-doubt (Inner Critic: “You’re not ready, not enough, not worthy”)
  • Fear of judgment (“What will they think?”)
  • Impostor syndrome (“I’m a fraud, they’ll find out”)
  • Waiting for permission (“Someone needs to choose me first”)

But here’s what I want you to see:

Playing small IS the homesickness.

When you:

  • Shrink your voice
  • Hide your gifts
  • Perform who you think you should be
  • Wait for external validation
  • Live loyal to your fears instead of your dreams

You are living in EXILE from your True Self.

You are homesick.

Playing Big = Living FROM Home

Tara asks:

“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”

But I’m asking something different:

“What would you do if you weren’t HOMESICK anymore?”

If you remembered you are Pure Soul?
If you listened to Inner Mentor, not Inner Critic?
If you lived in coherence, not fragmentation?
If you trusted your body’s wisdom?
If you knew you’re wired to heal and connected to SOURCE?

You would PLAY BIG.

Not because you fixed yourself. Not because you became perfect. Not because someone finally gave you permission.

Because you REMEMBERED who you’ve always been.

And when you remember—when you come HOME—playing small is no longer possible.

The Two Fears

Tara teaches (from Hebrew tradition):

PACHAD = shrinking fear

  • Fear that makes you constrict, hide, play small
  • “I’m not safe. I’m not enough. I’ll fail.”
  • Inner Critic’s voice
  • Keeps you EXILED

YIRAH = expansive awe

  • Fear in the presence of something GREATER than yourself
  • “This matters. This is big. I’m called to this.”
  • Inner Mentor’s voice
  • Guides you HOME

When you’re homesick, you live in pachad (shrinking, hiding, protecting).

When you come home, you access yirah (awe, reverence, stepping forward even when afraid).

The fear doesn’t disappear. It transforms.

From “I’m not enough” to “This is BIGGER than me, and I’m being called anyway.”

What “Living From Home” Actually Looks Like

Over these 8 weeks, you’ve learned:

Week 1: You can’t go back to yesterday (transformation is irreversible)
Week 2: You’re homesick for Pure Soul, for SOURCE, for True Self
Week 3: Your symptoms are breadcrumbs guiding you back
Week 4: You’re wired to heal (biofield science validates the mystics)
Week 5: Body-mind is ONE (East meets West, wholeness not fragmentation)
Week 6: Inner Mentor guides home; Inner Critic keeps you exiled
Week 7: Coherence is the medicine (alignment creates sustained wellness)
Week 8: You’re already home (now practice LIVING from it)

Living from home means:

✅ Trusting your body’s wisdom (symptoms as communication, cycles as teachers)
✅ Listening to Inner Mentor (not Inner Critic)
✅ Creating coherence (all parts aligned, not fragmented)
✅ Honoring wholeness (body-mind-spirit-relationship as ONE)
✅ Remembering you’re Pure Soul (already whole, already enough)
✅ Living loyal to your dreams (not your fears)
✅ Playing BIG (stepping forward even in yirah)
✅ Accessing SOURCE (you’re wired to heal, wired to come home)

This is not a destination you achieve. It’s a PRACTICE you return to.

Daily. Hourly. Moment by moment.

The Practice: Daily Return

You will forget you’re home. This is normal.

Stress, fear, Inner Critic, pachad—they’ll make you FEEL exiled again.

But you have the practices:

MORNING (10 min):

  1. Hand on heart: “I am Pure Soul. I am home.”
  2. Ask Inner Mentor: “What wants to move through me today?”
  3. Set intention: “I will live loyal to my dreams today, not my fears.”
  4. Check coherence: “Are all parts of me aligned?”

THROUGHOUT DAY:

  • Notice when Inner Critic speaks (exile trying to pull you back)
  • Return to Inner Mentor (home calling you forward)
  • Check symptoms (breadcrumbs if you’ve wandered off path)
  • Breathe into coherence (heart-brain alignment)

EVENING (5 min):

  1. Review: Where did I play big today? Where did I shrink?
  2. Celebrate: Where did I live FROM home?
  3. Release: What’s not mine to carry?
  4. Rest: Let system integrate overnight

This is the practice of LIVING FROM HOME.

What Changes When You Live From Home

Before (exiled, homesick, playing small):

  • Constantly seeking external validation
  • Fixing, improving, trying to be enough
  • Performing who you think you should be
  • Exhausted, symptomatic, fragmented
  • Loyal to fears

After (home, coherent, playing big):

  • Trusting inner knowing (Inner Mentor, Pure Soul)
  • Aligning, integrating, remembering wholeness
  • BEING who you actually are
  • Energized, well, whole
  • Loyal to dreams

Not because you became someone new.

Because you REMEMBERED who you’ve always been.

The Invitation: Keep Coming Home

This is the work I do:

1:1 COACH Intensive: Teaching you the practices of LIVING FROM HOME

  • Not just understanding the concepts
  • But EMBODYING the return
  • Daily practices, weekly integration, ongoing support
  • Twelve sessions that change how you live

Acupuncture: Creating coherence in your biofield so body remembers home too

Workshop: Beyond the Fix-It Trap: Community practice of coming home together

Because you can’t do this alone in isolation.

We come home TOGETHER.

We practice TOGETHER.

We remind each other TOGETHER.

You are not broken.
You are not failing.
You are not lost.

You are HOMESICK.

And the way home is not OUT there. It’s IN here.

Stop searching. Start REMEMBERING.

You’re already home. Now practice living FROM it.

Are you ready?

P.S. Tara Mohr asks, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” I’m asking: “What would you do if you remembered you’re home?” The answer to both: You would PLAY BIG. You would live loyal to your dreams. You would step into yirah. You would become who you’ve always been beneath the exile. Will you?
